Comprised of dedicated alumni from different graduating classes, the council works to maintain connections with former students, organize networking events, and provide valuable career resources. Through their efforts, the Alumni Council fosters a sense of pride and community among Salem University graduates, ensuring that our alumni stay connected and engaged with their alma mater.
IMPROVING SALEM UNIVERSITY
Our alumni council are more than just graduates and chair members - they are change-makers. Through their generous contributions and collaborative projects, our alumni council have played a crucial role in enhancing the university experience for current and future students. From funding scholarships to spearheading innovative initiatives, the impact of our alumni is felt across campus. Their dedication and passion continue to shape Salem University into a thriving hub of learning and innovation.

At Salem University, the connections you made during your time on campus can continue to grow through our alumni-hosted events. These gatherings provide a perfect opportunity to reconnect with former classmates, network with graduates from different years, and build new relationships within the Salem University community. From casual mixers to professional development workshops, our alumni events offer a variety of ways to stay connected and engaged with your alma mater.

Director of Alumni Relations
It’s hard to believe that another 6 months have gone by since our last newsletter. Our Alumni Council has been very busy with new projects and challenges. We welcomed three new Council members this year (Ed Albert, Kerry Gallagher and Mike Lambiotte). Unfortunately, we had to bid farewell to Mike Dreisbach. However, Mike will continue to be a valuable volunteer.
A record number of alums attended our awards program and homecoming banquet. The replacing of the Salem wall has been completed and the Alumni Honors Hall has been receiving the final touches.
As you all know, the Administration Building was taken down this year. Plans are being made to “preserve our heritage” with an Alumni park including a plaza to honor alums and community members. Plans are underway for alumni, students, staff and community to be more inclusive.
A mentoring program and career advising are short term goals. The Salem Christmas parade will be held on December 15. Students, staff, alumni and community will be participating. Please join us.
A new website will be developed to increase communications.
Please see individual articles on these programs. Once again, I thank the Alumni Council and community chairs as well as all the alums. We couldn’t survive or succeed so well without all of you.
WE ARE ONE SALEM!
